Care & repair
Every Lumen frame is built to last and serviced in the same workshop that made it. Below: how to look after one, and what we will fix when life happens.
Clean
Warm water, mild soap, a microfibre cloth. Never a tissue, never a shirt sleeve, never a “lens wipe” with alcohol — alcohol cracks acetate over years.
Store
In its case, away from heat. Acetate is a thermoplastic. So is your dashboard in summer. Frames left on a windowsill in July warp; frames left in a case do not.
Adjust
Bring it in or post it back. Frames stretch, slip, and need re-tightening every three to twelve months. We do this for free, forever, on every Lumen frame.
What we fix at no charge
-

· Hinge tightening & screw replacement

· Nose-pad replacement

· Refit and reshape after warping

· Re-polishing acetate edges (every 3–5 years; restores depth of colour)

· Heat-fitting to your face on first wear

What we fix at cost
-

· Replacement temples (one side €40, both €70)

· Replacement front section (case-by-case, €70–€110)

· Out-of-warranty lens replacement (Rx prices apply)

· Salt-water damage (we have seen everything; ask)

Post us your frame.
Write to us first so we can quote whatever is not covered. Pack the frame in its original case if you have it; in any case, padded.
